Book review of Gillian Flynn's novel

Yet another masterpiece of Gillian Flynn!
I, a rather slow reader, has finished the book in less than a week. It has definitely kept on edge the entire time and made me compulsively flip page after page, day or night.
I have set high expectations after reading Flynn's renowned thriller, Sharp Objects. Those expectations were definitely met and, truth be told, even exceeded.
What I loved most about the book, apart from the plot, was its structure. The story was told from different accounts, during different time periods - past and present. It certainly gave the book a great depth, with each point of view complementing each other. I liked that the amount of such POVs was kept limited, otherwise it would have been hard to keep up. The amount chosen by the author was just right.
Book was intriguing from the start, with a shocking twist building up towards the end.
Overall, a great piece of writing and definitely my recommendation for anyone looking for a shocking thriller.
